Monte Carlo [collection] : a musical comedy / words by Sidney Carlton ; lyrics by Harry Greenbank ; music by Howard Talbot. 1896-1898.

Arranged in three groups: I. Vocal scores (165). II. Promptbooks (4). III. Accompanying material (1). The vocal scores are published by Hopwood & Crew (London, 1896?). One copy is arranged as a piano-conductor score and includes many interpolated numbers, including "My Ann Elizer" by Malcolm Williams (c1898 by Myll Bros., New York); "My girl" by A. J. Morris (lyrics) and R. Temple, Jr. (c1897 by E. Ascherberg & Co., U.S.A.); "The banart ballet" (ms.); "Card ballet" by Ed. E. Rice (ms.); and "Sailor dance" by Rice (ms.). The finale, Act I, also a manuscript, is signed by Herman Perlêt. One promptbook is a manuscript; the others are typescript copies. Also found here is a cast list for an 1898 (American?) production.
